When the owner of NOLA Cajun Kitchen moved here from New Orleans he brought their good food with him. Unlike other restaurants that offer Cajun “style” dishes or big chains and fast food joints that all offer the same “meh” dishes NOLA Cajun Kitchen serves up the real deal. Crawdads? Yup. Gator? Yup. Po Boys and gumbo? Yup. You can even order an entire traditional seafood boil. It’s as good as anything I‘ve had in New Orleans. Why? Because he’s from New Orleans and he’s keeping it real.
NOLA Cajun Kitchen ranks right up there with Cafe Reyes (Cuban) and Sol of Mexico (Mexican) when it comes to delivering on its promise of serving the real deal. It’s legit.
Fried Louisiana Oyster Po Boy with Cajun fries and fried okra.
Located right outside of Worcester in West Boylston it’s easily accessible to everyone in the area right off Rt. 190 exit 4. Don’t live near Worcester? It’s worth the trip. You won’t be disappointed. Prices are reasonable and the portions are large. Seriously, I can usually eat for two or three and I couldn’t finish it all. You might want to ask a friend to drive, though, so you can take a nap on a full stomach after. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you and you’ll be smiling all the way home.
Abita and gator bites.
